Allow me to start off by saying that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with water every morning to decrease inflammation or something like that.

He claims it's magical. I assert it is nasty.

While I know this is going to seem spectacular (because it is)I actually dry heave at the sight and smell of his morning ritual to a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.

Based on this reaction, an individual would believe that I would stay far away from Kombucha, directly? I suggest, after all, it certainly comes with a vinegary tang.

However, for whatever reason, I keep trying it. I Wish to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

I am really a marketer's fantasy because every single time I see someone I know loving a sip, or even realising their favourite brand and flavor with a boomerang on Instagram, I'm all,"Perhaps that one will taste decent!" .

Just imagine me using air quotes around the word enjoying cause I believe it is tough to believe this stuff is really enjoyable in any sense of the term.

And spoiler alert. None of them taste great. None.

Even the ones that people claim are mild are a major contraceptive for me personally. They still taste just like freaking sweet vinegar.

I'm basically sure that anybody who drinks this brewed tea stuff includes zero taste buds, or seriously funky ones.

I have literally tried every single brand that my local market carries and that I HATED, not disliked, HATED every single one.

Yes, I know hate is a very strong word, but there's truly no other way to describe my feelings towards kombucha. And I only had to tell y’all my true feelings on this one. Who's with me?

Believe me, I want to enjoy the stuff cause it seemingly has a ton of health advantages, but I'll be the woman regretting a La Croix and booking vinegary tastes for salad dressingtable.

Let us completely change gears. One thing I always love? Cookies.

Out of no bake cookies and easy sugar cookies to those banana oatmeal cookies, it has turned into a love affair that's gone on here at MBA for nearly a decade now.

I'll say that the oats almost makes them seem like a breakfast cookie, so they are all sorts of amazing with a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the afternoon.

I did add some chopped peppers to a batch rather than chocolate chips, however, everyone definitely favored the chocolate chips on the nuts.

My friend Amber would inquire,"¿por que no los dos?" , that apparently means"why not both?" (She's from Texas, so that I trust that she's true ), and also you can absolutely do that too.

1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature

1 large egg

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then mix in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add in the mashed bananas and vanilla.

Gently add the bread mixture to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.

Scrape the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.

Stir in the oats and chocolate chips and blend until incorporated.

Use a moderate cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.

Remove cookies from the oven and gently press the shirts of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Since these cookies do not spread much, this can help give them a conventional cookie shape.

Enable the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
